One of the most hyped titles of the year and Ubisoft’s next version of its Assassin’s Creed series, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, recently hit the market. Now, we already know that the game runs only at 30 FPS on the latest Xbox Series X, despite its increased next-gen specs. Well, it turns out it’s not fully optimized for PC either.
According to recent AC Valhalla gameplay footage uploaded by YouTube channel, GameGPU, the game doesn’t hit 60FPS at 4K even with one of Nvidia’s top-tier GPUs, the RTX 3090 installed. The user matched the RTX 3090 with these Intel Core i9-10900K, which is also a top-of-the-line CPU. But, with all about this in the arsenal, this user averaged just 56FPS, with rates falling to 40FPS during some scenes.

Now, as you can see, the game surely brings some beautiful environments for players to explore. However, Ubisoft has once again been unable to optimize Valhalla for desktop computers and custom game settings. As a result, gamers will have to adapt to the low frame rates the game offers.
Also, the fact that Nvidia’s “BFGPU (Big Ferocious GPU)” failed to get Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to 4K / 60FPS is quite concerning for low-end PC owners planning to acquire the game.
