After hearing for quite some time of the revamped Erangel map, and later receiving it in PUBG Mobile Beta, we finally understand when it’s coming to PUBG Mobile at last. According to the tweets on the PUBG Mobile Twitter account, the 8th September update will bring Erangel 2.0 for everyone.
If you recall, a few days ago PUBG Mobile announced a “New Era” for the game. In that announcement, the developers mainly talked about graphical improvements and a better user interface. And while the developers didn’t say anything about Erangel 2.0, they did mention that September 8 will bring big changes to the game. Now that Erangel 2.0 has been confirmed to be coming, let’s see what’s new on the map.
First of all, there are improvements to the textures, obviously. PUBG Mobile recently released the new Livik map with improved textures, so it’s obvious that the new Erangel will get better textures as well. Other than that, there are changes to some of the main locations on the map. If you land in Sosnovka, Quarry, Prison, or Mylta Power, you will see changes in those places.
More coverage types are also being added to the map. You will now find trenches, barricades, and tanks in Erangel. All of these can be great to cover up, especially towards the end of the game. If you can’t wait until September 8 to test the new map, you can play it right away by downloading the PUBG Mobile beta.
