Micromax IN 2b with Uniscoc T610 SoC, 5,000 mAh battery launch in India

After making its comeback in this smartphone industry with this IN Note 1 also IN 1b last year, India-based smartphone producer Micromax has expanded its product portfolio today. The company has announced the Micromax IN 2b, the successor to last year IN 1b. It’s an entry-level smartphone with dual cameras, a large battery, and more.

So before I talk about the price and availability of the Micromax IN 2b, let me give you a quick rundown of the key specifications and features of the device.

Micromax IN 2b – Specifications and Key Features

The Micromax IN 2b features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1520p and a pixel density of 253ppi. It has a near-bezel-less look with a teardrop notch to house the 8MP selfie snapper.

On the back, the device has a dual-camera setup with AI support. There is a 13MP primary lens and a 2MP secondary sensor for portraits and macro shots.

Under this hood, this Micromax IN 2b is powered by an eight-core Unisoc T610 SOC that includes 2 ARM Cortex-A75 cores also 6 low-power ARM Cortex-A55 cores. Additionally, there is a Mali G52 GPU that offers 30% improved graphics performance. This chipset is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. You’ll also find a microSD slot on board to expand storage by up to 256GB.

Battery-wise, the Micromax IN 2b packs a massive 5,000 mAh battery that can provide 30 days of standby time. Aside from these, the IN 2B comes with 4G support, Bluetooth 5.0, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a USB-C port for 10W charging and data transfer. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack onboard.

As for the color variants, the device comes in three colors: black, blue, and green, and runs on Android 11 as standard.

Price and availability

As for the price, the Micromax IN 2b comes in two configurations. The lower-end 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 7,999, while the higher-storage variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at Rs. 8,999. The device will be available to purchase on the official Flipkart and Micromax websites starting August 6.
