Apple is reportedly planning to launch the iPhone 13 line on September 14. That’s according to an e-commerce list spotted by ITHome and later corroborated by reputable insider Jon Prosser. Prosser’s report also reveals the alleged pre-order and general availability of the iPhone 13.
iPhone 13 May Release on September 14
The e-commerce list in question was first posted on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo by user @PandaIsBald. Following the list, the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, and iPhone 13 mini will be available for pre-order on September 17. Furthermore, the listing also reveals that the pre-order date for the upcoming Apple AirPods 3 would be September 30.
Front Page Tech insider Jon Prosser has corroborated the leak and says that the pre-order and launch dates for the iPhone 13 line could be September 17 and 24, respectively. Furthermore, the report further mentions that the iPhone 13 launch event could happen on September 14, and the general availability of the iPhone 13 is probably scheduled for September 24.
While it’s nice to see corroboration in the initial report, it’s good to take this information with a grain of salt. Apple will send out press invites on September 7, which is a week before the event. So we won’t have to wait too long to find out if September 14 is the day we’ll see new iPhones.
This year’s iPhones are expected to feature camera enhancements, such as ProRes support and portrait videos. It can also include an improved Face ID system that will work better with foggy goggles and masks. It is also up in the air that the iPhone 13 can support 25W fast charging.
