In terms of design, Xiaomi has opted for a clean and minimalist design language for the Mi Notebook 14. The corners are not too sharp, there are no marks on the entire notebook except for a small “Mi” logo on the bottom bezel of the notebook. screen and the laptop has a slit in the middle to open the lid easily. At 1.5kg, it’s a bit heavier than the more premium Horizon edition of the laptop, but with the lid closed and looking from a small distance, the more affordable Mi Notebook 14 looks a lot like its sibling. When closed, the laptop also offers no branding on the case, which makes it quite interesting to see.
The overall build quality feels quite impressive, and the laptop is also very easy to carry in hand due to its form factor that features a 14-inch screen.
For connectivity, the Mi Notebook 14 Silver comes equipped with 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 HDMI port, 1 combo audio jack, and the charging port. Similar to the Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition, the Mi Notebook 14 also excludes the card reader, which is disappointing.
