Airtel is reportedly offering 1GB of free data to select customers. The company allegedly distributes promotional data offers when customers recharge their SIM cards with other data plans.
According to OnlyTech, the aforementioned free data will be valid for only three days. The offer is apparently only available to selected users. If you are one of them, they will apparently intimidate you through a text message.
The report cites an incident in which one of the blog forum members was offered a total of 4GB of data instead of the usual benefit of 1GB of data by reloading the Rs.48 data package. The blog claims to have independently verified this when they were reloaded with ‘Rs. 49 Smart Recharge Package. “
From the looks of it, the company offers additional data benefits along with budget-friendly plans. However, we cannot be sure if it is offered with long-term plans.
Meanwhile, Airtel recently started offering “Free Data Coupons” offering 2 1GB data coupons valid for 28 days for customers who recharge Rs. 219, Rs. 249, Rs. 279, Rs. 298, Rs. 349, and Rs. 398 prepaid plans.
Before Airtel, telecommunications giant Jio was seen offering free data to some of its subscribers last month. Jio was reportedly giving away 2GB data to his clients for four days.
